By using TripPace you agree to these terms. They are written in plain language — no legal jargon. Questions? Email privacy@trippacenamibia.com

01

Overview

TripPace provides tools to help travellers plan and assess the pace of Namibia self-drive itineraries. By using this website and its tools, you agree to these Terms of Service.

You must be 18 or older to use TripPace. By using the service you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age.

TripPace outputs are for guidance only and must not be relied on as the sole basis for travel decision-making. Always verify critical details independently before and during your trip.

02

Nature of the service

TripPace provides planning guidance only. This is not a navigation app, a booking platform, or a guarantee of safe travel.

Route suggestions, drive times, and warnings are estimates based on available data. Conditions in Namibia can change due to weather, road conditions, vehicle type, seasonal access, and other factors. You are solely responsible for your travel decisions and safety.

  • Drive times are based on typical conditions — actual times may vary significantly
  • Road conditions, fuel availability, and access can change without notice
  • TripPace does not account for all variables that affect real-world travel
  • Always verify critical details independently before and during your trip

03

No guarantee of accuracy

While we aim to provide realistic and helpful guidance based on verified Namibia road data, we do not guarantee that all information is accurate, complete, or up to date.

You should always use your own judgment, consult local sources, and verify critical details independently — particularly for remote routes, seasonal roads, fuel availability, and private land access.

04

Travel risk disclaimer

Travel in Namibia involves inherent risks. By using TripPace you acknowledge these risks and accept full responsibility for your travel decisions:

  • Remote locations with limited mobile coverage and emergency services
  • Long distances between fuel stops — fuel gaps of 300–400km exist on common routes
  • Gravel, sand, and rough roads that can be impassable after rain or in certain conditions
  • Wildlife on unfenced roads, particularly after dark
  • Private land access requirements — some destinations require prior booking or permits
  • Seasonal road closures and flood-affected access

TripPace flags many of these risks, but cannot flag all of them. No app replaces on-the-ground awareness and local knowledge.

05

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TripPace is not liable for any loss, damage, injury, delay, or expense arising from:

  • Use of the service or reliance on route suggestions, drive times, or travel guidance
  • Travel decisions made based on TripPace outputs
  • Vehicle damage, breakdown, or recovery costs
  • Missed bookings, accommodation costs, or trip disruption
  • Personal injury or loss of life
  • Inaccurate, outdated, or incomplete route data
  • Service interruptions, downtime, or technical failures
  • Events beyond our reasonable control including infrastructure failures, third-party outages, or force majeure events

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TripPace's total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service. For free tier users, our total liability shall not exceed $1.

TripPace is a planning tool. Final responsibility for all travel decisions rests with the traveller.

06

Service availability

We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or continuously available access to TripPace. The service may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances beyond our control. We are not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused by service interruptions.

07

Acceptable use

You agree to use TripPace only for lawful personal travel planning purposes. You may not:

  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, extract, or copy the underlying data, logic, or algorithms
  • Use automated tools, bots, or scrapers to access or copy content
  • Reproduce or distribute route data, drive times, or warnings without permission
  • Interfere with the operation of the service or attempt to bypass rate limits
  • Use the service for commercial purposes without prior written agreement

08

Paid features and refunds

When paid features are available, fees will be clearly stated before purchase. Payments are one-time per trip unless otherwise specified. Access to paid features is tied to the specific session or saved trip.

All purchases are final once an itinerary has been generated. If a technical failure prevents delivery of your itinerary, contact us within 48 hours at privacy@trippacenamibia.com and we will either resolve the issue or issue a full refund. Where required by applicable consumer protection law, statutory refund rights apply.

For consumers in the EU and UK: your itinerary and plan are digital content delivered immediately on purchase. By completing your purchase you expressly consent to immediate delivery and acknowledge that you lose your 14-day right of withdrawal once delivery has begun. This does not affect any mandatory consumer rights that cannot be waived under your local law. We send a written confirmation of your purchase, including this consent, to the email associated with your order.

09

Intellectual property

All content, design, data structure, routing logic, warnings, and algorithms within TripPace are the property of TripPace and its operators. The verified Namibia road dataset, drive time calculations, and planning logic represent significant original work.

You may not copy, reproduce, publish, or distribute any part of the service or its underlying data without written permission.

10

Accounts and saved data

Where account or trip-saving features are available, you are responsible for the accuracy of information you enter and for maintaining access to your account. TripPace is not responsible for data loss resulting from account issues, browser changes, or service interruptions.

11

Changes to the service

We may improve or modify features, destinations, or data as the product evolves. Where changes materially affect paid features you have purchased, we will provide reasonable notice. We are not liable for any impact these changes may have on your use of the service or your travel plans.

12

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Service as the product evolves. Continued use of the service after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes.

13

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The courts of British Columbia have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these terms or your use of TripPace, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings in your local courts.

Nothing in these terms removes or limits any mandatory consumer rights you have under the law of your country of residence that cannot be waived by agreement. If you have a concern, you can also contact us directly at privacy@trippacenamibia.com and we will work to resolve the matter in good faith.
